The Morena party responded to former president Vicente Fox, after he spoke about the the impeachment process against the then head of government of Mexico City, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
On Friday afternoon, Fox was honest and in a Twitter message said that sometimes he regrets having taken away his lawlessnesswithout mentioning the name of whom he was referring to, later Morena’s account replied:
It was not you Vicente Fox who freed President López Obrador from immunity, we were millions of Mexican men and women who stopped his authoritarian whim.
He also shared a couple of photographs of the marches carried out at that time to demand AMLO’s immunity.
In her tweet, Morena praised both the former Guanajuato president and the President of the Republic. He also added that from 2005 to today, “we can say that you (Vicente Fox) are a traitor to democracy.”
In 2005, the former president Fox Quesada promoted the impeachment of López Obrador for violate a permanent suspension.
