The head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, disclosed part of the complications that arise in the reconstruction of Line 12 and highlighted that the reinforcement of the entire structure is one of the main obstacles as it is a fault of origin.
The president of the capital also mentioned that each section of the 158 in total has a different executive project and they cannot all be manufactured at the same time having a different measure. However, Claudia Sheinbaum assured that the issue of manufacturing is resolved.
“Now we are reviewing the assembly sections, so progress is being made, but it has had this problem that I am there once or twice a week, attending to the issue so that it can move forward much more quickly. I hope that in the coming weeks we can see a greater advance, ”he said.
On the other hand, Sheinbaum Pardo pointed out that there is progress in the underground section but there are still water leaks and that they have the help of the companies that built Line 12.
“Then the sub-base of an area that is already very wet is being changed, the ballast is being changed, and the tracks on the curves are being changed, that is much more advanced,” added the capital’s president.
