The Zócalo International Book Fair is ready

With the motto of “Latin America at the Vanguard”, the international Book Fair (FIL) of the Zócalo of Mexico City will celebrate the October 7 to 16 its 22nd edition.

Presentations, concerts and conferences are part of a program within which the presence of Noam ChomskyJuan Carlos Monedero and the Spanish poet, Luis Garcia Montero.

Mexican authors such as Joran VilloroAlma Delia Murillo, Claudia Marcucetti, Monica Lavin, Elena Poniatowski and the caricaturist Rafael Barajas “El Fisgón”, to whom are added authors such as the Spanish José Manuel Fajardo, the Argentine kike Ferrari and the Italian historian alessandro barber.

During the Fair, writers, analysts, academics and journalists -among others- from countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Italy or Cuba will be participating.

There will also be tables on social struggles, literature or journalism, as well as tributes to personalities such as the activist Rosary Ibarra of Stone who died in April of this year or the Spanish writer Almudena Grandes deceased in November 2021.
