Oaxaca, Oax.- Two days after his disappearance, the Mixteco secondary school teacher and cultural promoter, Guillermo Álvaro López, was found dead, confirmed the Oaxaca Prosecutor’s Office and members of the Center for Human Rights and Counseling for Indigenous Peoples (Cedhapi). .
The The teacher’s body was found on federal highway 125, Alfonso Pérez Gazgaat kilometer 103, in the community of San Isidro de Morelos, Putla de Guerrero, Oaxaca.
Álvaro López was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on October 23 in the Villa de las Flores neighborhood, Tlaxiaco.
The Attorney General of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO) opened an investigation folder 36964/FMIX/PUTLA/2022 for the crime of homicide, after its location.
According to Maurilio Santiago, community defender and president of the Cedhapi, the native of Tlaxiaco worked as head of the first block of the San Diego neighborhood.
