The Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen filed for divorce from the NFL superstar, Tom Bradyafter 13 years of marriage, according to information to which he had access TMZ Sports.
The American media affirms that Bündchen presented the documents in a Florida court on Friday morning and that Brady will not contest the filing.
In a post on Instagram, Gisele, 42, explained: “The decision to end a marriage is never easy, but we have distanced ourselves and although it is, of course, difficult to go through something like that, I feel blessed for the time we spend together and alone i wish the best for tom always“.
Brady, 45, has also spoken out about the split; “In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce after 13 years of marriage. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”
“We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children that will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always make sure they get the love and attention they deserve,” she added.
The former Patriots quarterback honored his 13th wedding anniversary this year with an Instagram post that read, “13 years ago we both said ‘I do’…and You have been the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
“I love you more now than I ever could have imagined. Are the best mother, wife and partner in the world and I am blessed to call you my wife. I love you so much my love, happy anniversary @gisele”.
Days before her anniversary, Gisele also dedicated a publication to her then-husband, whom she celebrated knowing him for more than 15 years.
“I’m so proud of you and everything you’ve had to overcome physically and emotionally over the years. I am in awe of your dedication and all that you have accomplished.”
