Jorge Balderas Garza, alias “El JJ”, was sentenced to 36 years in prison for various crimes related to organized crime, confirmed the Attorney General’s Office.
José “B” was arrested in April 2011, in Bosques de las Lomas in Mexico City, in compliance with the arrest warrant that existed against him. Various firearms, national and foreign money, as well as drugs were seized from him.
Balderas Garza, also known as “El Muñeco” or “El Batman”, was the one who shot against the soccer player Salvador Cabañason January 25, 2010 after a discussion in the bar barand was charged with attempted murder.
He was a collaborator of Edgar Villareal, aka “La Barbie”so his criminal career was linked to Beltrán Leyva cartel.
He was sentenced to 20 years in prison on February 17, 2019 for organized crime, in the form of crimes against health and is in the Federal Center for Social Readaptation, number 15, in Tapachula, Chiapas.
Originally, “El JJ” was admitted to the Altiplano Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation. While serving his sentence, he had information about the escape of Joaquín Guzmán Loeraalthough the authorities did nothing to prevent it.
