The 2022-23 NFL season transfer market closed on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Central Mexico time. On the last day of activity, a total of 10 transactionsincluding several league superstars moving houses.
These are the most important transactions ahead of the second half of the campaign:
Christian McCaffrey: Carolina Panthers > San Francisco 49ers
In one of the first transfers of the season, the panthers chose to let their star runner go in exchange for the 49ers second, third and fourth round picks in the 2023 Draftin addition to a fifth-round pick for 2024.
McCaffreydespite being injury-prone, has become a benchmark on the ground and in the air in the NFLso if they stay healthy, San Francisco might have gotten the best player available this year.
Roquan Smith: Chicago Bears > Baltimore Ravens
In a somewhat surprising transaction, the chicago bears they let their best player go baltimore in exchange for support A. J. Klein Y second- and fifth-round picks in 2023.
Similar to what happened with Carolina, Chicago is betting on a much younger corebut letting go of your defense’s engine is a risky move that hasn’t gone over well with Bears fans.
While, baltimore seeks to increase its status postseason contender reinforcing a solid defense but lack of dominant players, so the arrival of Roquan will look to improve his squad from average to elite.
Bradley Chubb: Denver Broncos > Miami Dolphins
Chubbest supported by the Broncos, will be leaving the cold heights of Colorado for the sunny beaches of Miami, after his squad sent him along with a first draft pick to Florida.
While, Denver received in return a first pick in 2023, a fourth-round pick in 2024, and young running back Chase EdmondHe is the one who will come to give a new breath to the offensive commanded by Russell Wilson, who since his arrival at the Broncos has not been able to be dominant.
