The show’s first-ever three-way knockouts earned the network first place in total viewership and in the demo
“The Voice’s” first stab at at three-way knockout round belted out a Monday primetime win for NBC, as the network took first place in both total viewership and the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen’s live plus same-day figures.
While the show typically pits two performers head-to-head to secure their spot in the live playoffs round, NBC shook things up by adding a third singer to the mix — and it clearly paid off. NBC earned a 0.52 rating in the demo and a total average viewership of 4.9 million — both up slightly from last week’s 0.51 ratings score and 4.6 million viewers on average.
