After the children went out during the night of HalloweenCanadian police arrested a couple who gave minors sweets with marijuana

The authorities indicated that they received various calls from parents who found candies with cannabis in their children’s candy bags.

Through a press release, the Winnipeg Police reported that children between the ages of 6 and 16 received sweet nerds mixed with the psychoactive of marijuana THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) in the South Tuxedo neighborhood.

The authorities detailed that the marijuana-infused candy was packaged along with chocolate bars inside individual sandwich bags.

The couple faces charges of causing bodily harm, administration of a noxious substance with intent to endanger lifeillegal distribution of cannabis and distribution of cannabis to minors.

And while the investigation is ongoing, the alleged perpetrators were released under a promise to appear as provided by the Penal Code.

cannabis edibles can be bought legally to authorized dealers in Canada. However, its recreational use is exclusively for adults and distributing it to minors is a crime.
