'La Chona' causes a stir in Qatar 2022 |  Videos

Users of social networks have shared several videos where the Mexican fans are seen dancing to the rhythm of ‘La Chona’ at the 2022 World Cup celebrations.

“And the chona moves, and the people yell at her” sounds in the streets, squares and even in the Qatar metro while Mexicans sing and dance Enjoying the moment.

While many Mexicans dreamed of dancing to the famous song in the squares of Doha, they never imagined that they would sing along with the Tijuana Toucans themselvesauthors and singers of “La Chona”.

In the following video, shared by Osberto Vera from Tamaulipas, you can see Mario Quintero, one of the founding members of the band, celebrating with the other fans of the Mexican National Team.

“La Chona” was the first single released from the album “Me Robaste el Corazón” by Los Tucanes de Tijuana in 1995. Quintero, has counted publicly that the song was composed at the request of a friend who asked him to write about his wife and claims that it took only five minutes to create the lyrics and music, although he never thought the subject would become so famous.
