Pablo Solórzano Castro, alias ‘El Gallo’, a member of ‘La Banda de la Flor’, was sentenced to 446 years in prison by a district judge, as well as a fine of 875 thousand 978 pesos, for the crimes of organized crime, kidnapping and possession of cartridges for firearms for the exclusive use of the Army.
According to the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), Solórzano is attributed to belonging to a criminal organization, dedicated to the crime of kidnapping and that his modus operandi was to establish false checkpoints at various points of the Mexico City and the State of Mexico, wearing uniforms and vests with initials of federal security institutions.
‘El Gallo’ was arrested in 2011 and imprisoned in the Federal Center for Social Readaptation, Number 1, Altiplano, in Almoloya de Juárez, Mexico statewhere he is currently being held.
The criminal group was also known as ‘The Flower Band‘, as they used to leave flowers for their victims, or send flowers to the families of kidnapping victims to pressure them to pay the ransom.
It was also known as ‘The Petricolets‘, since it was headed by Abel Silva Petriciolet, alias ‘El Dicaprio’ or ‘El Romeo’.

The abduction of Martí’s son, as well as two others that could be proven, were committed using false police checkpoints, in which the kidnappers posed as members of security forces.
According to official records, the minor’s body was located 53 days after his abduction, inside the trunk of a car with a report of theft that was abandoned in the Villa Panamericana neighborhood of Coyoacán.
