Attack on Gómez Leyva, in the context of violence and lynching against journalists in Mexico: Analysis Table

At the Analysis Table this Wednesday, Anabel Hernández highlighted that the attack against the journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva occurs in a context in which 2022 will be the most violent year recorded in the history of Mexico. She stressed that the attack takes place in the context of violence, permissiveness and lynching against critical journalists. Meanwhile, Alfredo Figueroa stressed that beyond the president’s positions, it must be understood that it is a serious act such as trying to kill a person.
