a man died being run over on the station tracks Fine Arts on Line 8 of the Mexico City Metro, on Tuesday night.
Through a tweet posted at 10:26 p.m.Metro CDMX reported that the service was stopped due to maneuvers to rescue a person run over on the tracks.
Minutes later, at 10:55 p.m., they reported that the service had normalized, but did not give further details of the incident.
Subsequently, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office confirmed the death of the person run over.
“The advance of the trains is continuous,” they wrote in a brief message.
The authorities detailed that an agent of the Public Ministry of the Specialized Metro Agency, attached to the General Coordination of Territorial Investigation, initiated the corresponding inquiry.
“It will be the necropsy of Leyas well as the inquiries carried out by FGJCDMX personnel, testimonies and images from video surveillance cameras that determine the cause of death and how the events occurred,” they added.
In one of the few images that circulated on social networks, you can see the moment in which the body of the man, approximately 25 years old, is being lifted from the roads by emergency personnel.
