After applying a search warrant in a property in the Aculco neighborhood, in the Iztapalapa mayor’s office, police officers arrested Luis Alberto “N”, alias “El Tío Beto”, considered one of the main extortionists of the criminal group “La Unión Tepito”.
The spokesman and advisor to the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office, Ulises Lara López confirmed that he is being investigated for probable drug dealing.
“Approximately a thousand doses of possible drugs were seized at the site; 599 of them with a substance with the characteristics of cocaine, and the remaining 400 with dry green grass, similar to marijuana.
The authorities presume that Luis Alberto “N” works under orders from Luis Fernando “N”, aka “El Barbas”previously detained and who is possibly responsible for various extortions.
Derived from investigations, the prosecutor’s office warned that “El Tío Beto” was possibly related to kidnapping and torture against merchants, whom he forced to pay fees for housing rights.
Presumably, the detainee is also related to the dispossession of real estate, premises, and merchant stalls in the vicinity of the Morelos, Peralvillo, Lagunilla, Doctores, Santa María la Ribera, and San Simón neighborhoods.
The spokesman for the FGJCDMX assured that the investigations into the indicated person will continue to establish his legal status.
