Liga MX: Xolos announce the departure of Argentine coach Ricardo Valiño

Xolos of Tijuana announced this Saturday the departure of the Argentinian Ricardo Valinowho became the second coach dismissed from the 2023 Clausura Tournament of Liga MX after the dismissal of Gabriel Caballero from Mazatlán FC.

With the Xolos, the South American strategist left a balance of four wins, nine draws and nine losses. His last game was last Friday, when Tijuana drew 1-1 as a visitor against Necaxa, on the fifth day of the Clausura 2023.

In the Clausura 2023, the Xolos occupy the 14th position in the general table with four pointsfour tied games and one loss.

Valiño, 52, arrived in Tijuana prior to the Apertura 2022 tournament after winning the Expansion League title with Morelia.

Tijuana has not yet announced who will be its next strategist. The next game for the Xolos will be this Friday against Atlético San Luis in the Caliente Stadium, valid for the sixth day of the Clausura 2023.
