Figure of Minister Piña burned in the Zócalo |  Video


A figure of paper, cloth and cardboard with the appearance of the Minister President of the Court, Norma Piña Hernández, was burned by those attending the Zócalo in the capital to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Oil Expropriation.

Images were spread on social networks in which a group of people can be seen setting the figure on fire.

Meanwhile, people shouted: “Out with Piña, out with Piña!”

The remains of the figure were left on the floor of the Plaza de la Constitución.

Protest against Minister Norma Piña in CDMX

This Friday a group of citizens protested at the Angel of Independence in Mexico City to demand the resignation of Norma Piña Hernández as Minister President of the SCJN.

The mobilization was recorded around 2:00 p.m. and the contingent other protesters joined who also expressed their support for the electoral reform of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

In interview for Aristegui News, some protesters expressed their support for the president in response to his rejection of the decision that Piña Hernández was elected as minister president.
