Drug addiction is due to lack of 'apapacho' and love: AMLO

He President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stated that the drug addiction it is due to the “lack of apapacho”.

“It has a lot to do with happiness, with abandonment, with sadness, with loneliness, with the lack of love, with the lack of apapacho,” he declared this Monday during the morning press conference at the National Palace.

The president reiterated that if actions are not carried out to prevent the consumption of illegal drugs, the trafficking of fentanyl, “But another drug is going to emerge.”

In contrast, he maintained that the absence of addictions cannot be attributed to the fact that “customs and traditions are preserved.”

Likewise, he reiterated that his government’s youth care programs are addressing the problem. Given this, he stressed that the country’s cultures should be strengthened and that sector served.

In turn, he maintained that consumption is high in USA because people become independent at a very early age from their homes.
