Construction of the Salina Cruz coking plant will conclude in 2024

The construction of the coking plant of the refinery of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, will conclude in September 2024, informed this Tuesday the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

“Next year we are going to be self-sufficient in fuel production. Gasoline and diesel are not going to be imported and this will allow prices not to rise, ”he pointed out.

According to the president, around 5 thousand people work in the construction of the coking plant and the rehabilitation of the refinery. Also, he said they are reversed 60 billion pesos in the construction.

He also announced that by July of this year the highway that goes from oaxaca toward hidden porteither. He reported that the works were stopped due to an agrarian conflict, but this was resolved, AMLO said.
