More than 40 Mexicans collaborated on a new Spider-Man movie |  Videos


Oscar winner Cruz Antonio Contreras, an animation artist for Sony Pictures, highlighted that more than 40 Mexicans collaborated on the new film “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse“.

In the prequel “Spider-Man: A new universe”, Cruz Antonio Contreras also collaborated as an animation artist and estimated that around 25 Mexicans also worked on the project.

“Spider-Man: A New Universe”, released in 2018, was awarded as best animated film at the Academy of the Oscars, and the award was extended to the Mexican Cruz Contreras.

In this new tape “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” Cruz Contreras estimated that more than 40 compatriots collaborated in the project.

The filmmaker shared a video on his social networks where he shows the faces of some of the Mexican collaborators in the new film about the arachnid superhero, which will be released on June 2 in movie theaters.

The Mexicans mentioned by Cruz Contreras are: Miralda Medina compositing, originally from Guanajuato; Hector Torrescharacter rigging, born in Coahuila; katia cisneros3D animation, from Jalisco; Isaac Mirandamotion/matte painting, from Morelos; rose castle, lighting and comp, originally from Michoacán; and Leticia MaycotteCFX, from Coahuila.

For his part, the also Oscar winner, the Jalisco filmmaker Guillermo del Toro highlighted the collaboration of Mexicans in the new Spider-Man movie.
