Organized crime unleashed shooting that left 10 dead in Ensenada: FGE

The Attorney General of the State of Baja California affirmed that the shooting that broke out during a rally in the municipality of Covein which 10 people died and nine others were injured, it was “a confrontation between members of organized crime.”

Ricardo Iván Carpio, State Attorney Generalexplained that the indications of the involvement of hitmen from criminal groups operating in the area were collected after the first inquiries by the ministerial agents in charge.

“With these new findings, we can determine that this incident is due to a confrontation between alleged criminals who shot at each other at the event,” the prosecutor explained.
