The collision between a passenger truck, which was transporting migrants from Central and South America, with a trailer, left one person dead and six injured.
The accident occurred at kilometer 137 of federal highway 57, in the El Huizache-Matehuala section, in San Luis Potosí.
It was during the early hours of this Wednesday when the accident occurred. The passenger truck from Chiapas collided with the box of the cargo truck.
Among the migrants, some of Chilean and Venezuelan origin were identified, although work is being carried out to continue establishing their general data.
So far it is known that the person who was left lifeless at the scene, inside the passenger truck, was the driver.
There were two adults and one minor who required to be transferred to Clinic No. 14 of the IMSS.
The government of the state of San Luis Potosí announced that the bus came from Chiapas and was bound for Nuevo León.
The total number of people traveling in that passenger truck is unknown so far.
The authorities are also seeking to establish whether the truck is related to the transport lines that in recent weeks have been the object of kidnapping and disappearance of people on that same road in Matehuala.
