Aquaman

Five years have passed since ‘Aquaman’ was released in our theaters, resulting in great success. The sequel, ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’, will again star Jason Momoa and will be released around the world at the end of December, being one of the last tapes that has gone through the transition to the new DC Universe.

The director of ‘Aquaman and the lost kingdom’, James Wan, has commented that In order to fit the film into the DC Universe, he had to make some adjustments. There have been several changes since the sequel to ‘Aquaman’ was announced, having different plans for the film until it reached the hands of the new creative directors, James Gunn and Peter Safran, who are now at the helm of the new DCU. Wan has stated in a recent interview for The Hollywood Reporter that, in order to fit the film in with other company projects, they have had to overcome several obstacles.

“I’ve had to make adjustments along the way. The DC Universe has gone through many different iterations, and one of the most challenging things about this movie was keeping track of what was going on. Fortunately, the ‘Aquaman’ universe is pretty far removed from the rest of the world. We’re going to go to different underwater realms that aren’t necessarily related to what’s going on with the other movies and characters, so we’re independent in that sense. So I can tell my story on its own without it being affected too much, but at the same time, I have to be aware of what’s going on.”

Accompanying Momoa in this new adventure starring the superhero from Atlantis, we will meet again with Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Amber Heard, Dolph Lundgren, with the participation of Ben Affleck once again in the skin of Bruce Wayne.
