According to the most recent cut of the Preliminary Electoral Results Program (PREP), the candidate of the ‘Together We Will Make History’ coalition for the government of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez, consolidates her triumph against the candidate of the PRI-PAN-PRD coalition, Alejandra del Moral.
With 94.7% of the minutes captured at 4:30 in the morning, Gomez gets 52.6% of the vote with 3,147,824 votes in his favor, against 44.2% of votes by Del Moral, who has so far obtained 2,646,331 votes.
According to these figures, citizen participation in the election was 49.8% dthe electoral roll. In total, 5,974,024 votes were registered.

“We are going to make that change and really those who want a position, well, they come to serve the people and that there is that citizen complaint, because something that we want to eliminate is corruption, so from now on I tell you: no corruption, no transas And we have to denounce it because we are going with everything to put an end to this evil that we have, which is corruption,” he said.
“Love with love is paid”, she mentioned, while saying that she will govern close to the population, so she will not be a ruler who is in her offices all the time.
“It is not the triumph of a person”, Gómez pointed out and recognized those who were part of his campaign.
He announced that he will return to all the Mexican municipalities to present his work project for the next six-year term. He also reiterated his commitment that at least 50% of the cabinet be made up of women and that there will be a reduction in the salaries of the secretaries of your government.

During his speech, the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, said that Gómez’s triumph send a message to the party for the electoral process of 2024.
“Today we can celebrate because things were done well, because the transformation project was put before any other interest. And I want to highlight this because it is a message from the State of Mexico to our entire movement at the national level for the next stage, the most relevant that we are going to experience as workers, in 2024,” he said.
“We have to do it in unity, that nothing divides us, that nobody divides us. No private interest, however legitimate it may be, no vulgar ambition, no vanity, no excessive desire, cannot be put above this great project of national transformation,” he emphasized.
