‘Elite’ is one of the most successful series on Netflix, not only in Spain, but throughout the world. The platform has confirmed that the series has been renewed for season 8 even before the seventh installment is released., which will be released on October 20. In season 7 we will be able to see the return of Omar Ayuso and Nadia Al Saidi; and the incorporation of Maribel Verdú, Leonardo Sbaraglia or Anitta, among others.
This way, ‘Elite’ becomes the longest-running series on Netflix in Spain, and probably of all the originals on the platform, surpassing ‘Orange Is the New Black’ (7), ‘Grace & Frankie’ (7) in seasons or ‘BoJack Horseman’ (6). The eighth season of the youth series will begin filming next August, without having more information about the release date of the chapters of the new installment.
The new adventures of the students of Las Encinas school will be directed in their episodes by Daniel Barone, Ginesta Guindal, Jota Linares and Elena Trapé. On the other hand, season 8 will be created again by Carlos Montero, creator of the series, and Jaime Vaca. Regarding the cast, familiar faces will return to the series, such as Mina El Hammani reprising her role as Nadia; and the actors Ane Rot and Nuno Gallego will join the series.

Each season the directors of ‘Elite’ can change, for season 7 there has been a total renewal of directors. The new batch of episodes will feature behind the scenes Lino Escalera ‘Alta mar’), Roger Gual (‘Fanatic’), Menna Fité (‘Welcome to Edén’) and Ana Vázquez (‘Zorras’). Those who continue, both in season 7 and 8, are Carlos Montero and Jaime Vaca, who will continue to lead the series for a while as showrunners.
