Brandy returned as Cinderella for a new medley with Todrick Hall, ahead of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (1997) which debuts on Disney +.
One day before the 1997 version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella debuted on Disney +, singer Brandy Norwood reprized the lead role from the film in a new video with animator Todrick Hall.
Published in Youtube On February 11, the clip for “Cinderella Medley” opens with Hall sitting at a piano and opening a sheet of lyrics, at which point he is introduced by Victor Garber (King Maximillian). Hall then begins singing a medley of songs from the movie, including “The Sweetest Sounds” and “In My Own Little Corner”, before Brandy appears and begins exchanging verses with him.

The pair take things to the next level when Hall starts waving a wand and the two are transported into a full ball, with Brandy rocking a beautiful blue Cinderella dress that is almost identical to the one she wore in the original film.
As Hall replaces Paolo Montalbán during the “10 Minutes Ago” portion of the potpourri, the actor who played Prince Christopher appears towards the end of the video, along with co-stars Veanne Cox, Jason Alexander and Bernadette Peters to help sing “Impossible. “. . “Whoopi Goldberg, who played the queen in the movie, also appears at the end of the video to remind the audience that they can watch the movie on Disney +.
Hall’s medley debuted on the same day that the surviving members of the film’s cast gathered for a virtual gathering that was hosted by THAT. “It feels like we are so lucky to be together and no one knows the moment you do anything, what the impact is. Hall previously revealed that the version of Cinderella starring Brandy and Whitney Houston was the first musical he saw. In addition to her various YouTube medleys, Hall played Lola in Curly boots on Broadway as Billy Flynn in Chicago on Broadway and West End in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
