Wendell Pierce’s version of Death is funny and surprising on this BBC America show.

When it comes to TV shows, Wendell pierce has appeared in some interesting places. But no matter where it appears, either The wire, Suitsor Chicago, PD – Pierce has always been quite recognizable. That was true until Pierce was featured as Death on the BBC America action comedy show. The watch, starring Richard Skylight, Lara Rossi, Jo eaton-kent, Light CorlettY Adam Hugill. Based on the author Terry pratchettit is Discworld novels, The watch follows a motley crew of police officers who come together to save their city from constant danger. In this unusual new world, there is also the character Death (voiced by Pierce), who takes the form of a hooded being whose only visible parts are glowing eyes and skeleton hands, and who frequently appears to the heroes of The watch.

In a new exclusive clip from the next episode of The watch“Nowhere in the Multiverse,” Death encounters three members of the show’s misfit police team, Cheery (Eaton-Kent), Carrot (Hugill), and Angua (Corlett). The trio seem to be stuck in a tricky situation with no apparent way out, prompting Death to arrive on the scene. As Carrot tries to convince Death to help them escape, he steers the conversation towards the special powers of Death. This gives Death a chance to show off a new special power that he has been working on: the power of song. Yes, it’s true, Death is a budding musician in the world of The watch and yes, they also invite us to listen to a little of Death’s new song. Titled “Last Breath”, this song written and performed by The watch‘s Death is surprisingly catchy, if you don’t pay attention to the ominous lyrics.
