Blizzard’s press kit for BlizzConline was accidentally leaked the day before the virtual event, revealing new details for War of Warcraft and other games.
Some new details about the upcoming first major content patch for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands have been leaked ahead of BlizzCon, which starts on February 19. Blizzard Entertainment’s annual convention was rebranded BlizzConline for 2021, as the entire event will take place virtually due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.
Last year, BlizzCon 2020 was canceled due to the emerging COVID-19 pandemic. While the social situation has changed little since then, Blizzard has adapted to the circumstances so that the entire event takes place online. This year’s event will be free and will feature many of the traditional elements that make BlizzCon what it is, albeit virtually. The event begins at 5 pm EST tomorrow and will last until 7 pm the next day; however, some fans may not be so inclined to watch now that most of the information is available early.

Blizzard accidentally released their entire press kit for BlizzConline a day ahead of schedule and wowhead.com managed to examine the information to provide some details of what World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players can wait in the near future. The name of the first major content patch (patch 9.1) is Chains of domination and is established after the defeat of Sire Denathrius. Players will delve deeper into the Jailer’s realm, struggling to reach the seat of his power and facing a new champion at his service. Besides the story, there are also some new gameplay elements including a mega dungeon and flying.
World of Warcraft: Classic He was also a victim of the leak and now players know he will receive the Flaming crusade expansion. Originally released in 2007, Blizzard seeks to recreate the first World of warcraft expansion by allowing players to return to Outland to relive some classic adventures. With that said, there is also the Dark Portal where players can venture into new adventures. I like it Shadowlands, Classic You’ll also get some gameplay tweaks to go along with the story-based content.
It’s a shame that most of what Blizzard was going to reveal was spoiled on the literal day before BlizzConline. There is no doubt that the game developer wanted to come out strong with their submissions, especially since last year’s event was unceremoniously canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. However, that still doesn’t mean that Blizzard will surprise its fans (pun intended) with whatever it shows for the next two days. Although the public knows what is coming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, is still not the same as seeing it for the first time.
