Netflix has released the trailer for Yes day. this is one of Many Original movies the streaming service has on the way in 2021. With theaters not showing a lot of new material yet, Netflix is capitalizing by offering its subscribers a lot on that front. In this case, we have a family comedy starring Jennifer Garner (Love, simon, Alias) and Edgar Ramirez (The last days of American crime, Deliver us from evil). They play parents who, instead of saying no to their children, decide to say yes. To nothing. As expected, it gets a bit hectic.
The trailer opens with several instances in which Allison and Carlos, played by Jennifer garner and Edgar Ramirez, they have to tell their children no, as they are causing small-scale chaos at home. Fireworks. Explosive mess. Everything results in many “no”. The couple discover that their children see them as funny killers, leading them to remember their life before the children when they said yes to everything. The children then introduce them to the idea of having a full day of yes, where they are not allowed to say no to anything the children request for a full 24 hours. They agree and quickly go off the rails. Despite this, parents make a valiant effort to change their image in the eyes of these children.
The cast also includes Jenna Ortega (The Nanny: Killer Queen), Julian Lerner (Pottersville), Everly Carganilla (The haunted man), Fortune Feimster (The Mindy project), Nat Faxon (The way back), Arturo Castro (Wide city) and Molly Sims (The wrong lady). It is directed by Miguel Arteta. He previously teamed up with Jennifer Garner on Alexander and the terrible, horrible, bad, very bad day. Arteta’s other credits include Like a boss Y Youth in rebellion. Arteta has also directed high-profile television shows such as Nurse jackie Y Succession.
In Yes dayAlways feeling like they have to say no to their children and co-workers, Allison (Jennifer Garner) and Carlos (Edgar Ramirez) decide to give their three children a “yes day.” For 24 hours, children can make the rules. The proposal places them on a dizzying adventure through Los Angeles that brings the family closer than ever. It is based on the book by illustrator Tom Lichtenheld and author Amy Krouse Rosenthal. It was originally published in 2009.
This is one of over 70 original movies Netflix will have in 2021. This includes a host of high-profile Hollywood A-listers projects like Red notice, an original thriller starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds. Other noteworthy titles include Don’t look up by Adam McKay, Zack Snyder’s Army of the dead, the long awaited Chicken run 2 and RL Stine’s Street of fear trilogy. Some major movies have already been released, including Off the wire Y Malcolm and Marie. Yes day arrives on March 12 the Netflix streaming service.
